Michael S. Hart, founder of Project Gutenberg died recently. While I didn’t know much about him before, I have in recent years become quite the fan of his creation. Project Gutenberg is an amazing resource and one of the finest non-profit ideas I have ever seen. The ability to find public domain books so easily and in such good condition (pre Google-books) was a treasure, and still is. Whenever I seek out older writers, PG is perhaps my first stop, along with Archive.org.
Thank you, Mr. Hart. For all you did, and the things you set into motion. You will be missed.
